Eco Tycoon: Project Green lets gamers tackle some of the most
challenging environmental and economic issues facing world leaders in
the 21st century. Players must balance the food, shelter, water, and
power needs of an expanding populous, all while attempting make the
world a bit greener by lowering carbon dioxide emissions, encouraging
the use of public transport, taxing carbon footprints, and subsidizing
alternative energy. Developing a sound energy policy is crucial to
gamers' success, as surplus oil and coal can be exported to other
countries for extra cash. Players have the luxury of consulting with
seven government advisors for advice on finance, farming, energy,
politics, the environment, research, and mining, but those who make poor
decisions may bring about disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, oil
spills, nuclear meltdowns, or worst of all, removal from office.
